Where is default Setting for Time Code on timeline and preview window?

My default setting was always timecode/ time units but now it is frames. Every time I start a new project I have to change the counter from frames to time code/ time units in both preview and timeline panels, help please!

Well, it's super easy to use a preset, and once you do it will be the default whenever you create a new sequence.

As Neil said, also you can ctrl + click on the frames number and it will switch to timecode

It's in the menus in the Timeline panel. There's the 3-bar menu for each timline, and also the wrench menu for the timeline header control block. Working from memory I forget which one that 'lives' in.

Thank you for the reply but I know how to change it from frames to time code/ time units, what I want to know is how to change the default so I don't need to change it every time. In the past the default was timecode not frrames, not how it got switched.

That's ... odd. Mine still defaults to timecode. Not sure what's happened there. Not at my computer, so I can't bring up the Prefs, but I can't offhand remember a pref for this.
