I'm trying to learn Media Encoder. I'm shooting on a Panasonic GH5 with the new update in 422 10-bit Color at 400mbps.

I want to transcode to Pro Res. Regardless of that, non of the presets shown

Media Encoder Help | Using the Preset Browser or What is Media Encoder? |

Are in my media encoder? E.g. - Apple device presets, "4K OutPut" etc.

I just want to make this first step and initial learning curve as simple as possible.

Thank you.

I went to the link you had from the help ... the "4k" you mentioned was in the User Presets section ... those made by that user, so that is NOT one shipped with the product.

As to the Devices section ... I see they left the names for several types, but only the actual presets for generic mobile devices. So, you'd pick the one closest to your needs, modify if/as necessary, and save it to your User presets.

The great thing isn't the pre-built ones, it's what you can modify and save for your own needs.
