Hey everybody

Maybe it´s a stupid question but  why Can´t I get these two clips on the same timeline?

They are both H264 1920x1080 120fps but with different data rate

Clip 1, shot on a sony alpha a7ii

Clip 2 GoPro Hero 6

How can I edit them at the same timeline?

And can I change the settings in my cameras somehow so they fit?

Kindest regards

Vidir

When you have one on a sequence, the other doesn't drop onto it? I'm not understanding 'where' in the process you can't get them both on a timeline. You can have things on a timeline that don't even share frame-size or rate.

Now, if you're working from the Source monitor using insert/overwrite to drop a clip to the timeline, you need the Source tracking target box turned blue for any past the first clip to a timeline ... is that where this is stopping?

    Thank you

It was just me overthinking it all and being a little bit stupid. I had accidentally pressed that button haha.

    Have a great weekend!

Hey, you wouldn't believe how often that gets un-checked somehow ... and experienced editors are ready to toss monitors around. Then sit back down quietly, muttering ... ooops ... and get back to work.

    Sheesh.
