Why can't I use the Object Mask tool in my Premiere Pro 2026? It shows 'Downloading Machine Learning Models 0%' in the Progress panel. Does anyone have a solution?

I've tried installing different versions, but it still fails. The message changed from 'failed' to 'Downloading Machine Learning Models 0%'. What a terrible experience.

I’d check whether Premiere has permission to access the internet and whether any firewall or security software is blocking the model download. If it stays at 0%, signing out and back into Creative Cloud before launching Premiere again may also be worth trying.
