Why do I have to wait for "Media Pending?"

Does anyone know why I have to wait for media to load when I open my project? The bigger the project gets, the longer the wait time. This has been an issue for years, and it has gotten better. But it's still aggravating. Any tips for mitigating this?

If you are running LARGE projects, long-form or episodic, or anything with above 500 assets ... you really should be running in Premiere's Production mode. But from your post, I've no clue what size projects you are using.

There are definitely more than 500 assets in this project. And, yes, I agree, that would probably make things run faster.

I'm so torn sometimes when setting up a "small" project like the one doing. I know I could do a Production, but then I sacrifice the ability to effectively search for clips bc you can't search across projects in Productions....STILL.

The benefits of productions versus drawbacks are major. I don't work stand-alone mode no matter the size of the project unless it's to test something.

I work my small shop in one Production as that way all b-roll, graphics, audio library, templates, everything is available for all projects.

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).
