Why do I not see the mask options in Opacity like the square or circle in Premiere 25

    Thanks Neil,
Adobe tries to keep old people sharp by constantly changing things. It's incredibly hard to keep up. Thankfully, this forum is here to keep me on track.

Like all other professional graphics/video software, they are constantly modifying to keep up with changing hardware/media and effects desires and needs. ALL pro software is handled the same way.

Yes, some things are really unsettling to experienced users at first when they change. Same for me, of course.

But this change is freaking awesome in new capabilities in Premiere ... I’ve done things I wouldn’t have even tried unless I really needed to, because I’ve never been that great at running rotoscoping in AfterEffects. That is essentially done now within Premiere.

The masking has been completely rebuilt … the mask tool is now on the timeline Toolbar panel … hover over the icon for masking, and a dialog pops up with a link to the documentation. Do yourself a favor and go read that doc!

It is amazingly more powerful now, most things you had to go to Ae to rotoscope are now done quickly within Premiere … but it is very different. You need to read all about it.
