Why is my Search box is greyed out??

I've cleared my cache.  All files are completely indexed.  

This was fine before the latest update.

Running Windows 10 64-bit.  Adobe Premiere CC 12.1.0

This issue should be addressed in the 12.1.2 update that was just released.

    Spoke with Adobe and they had me create a New Project and import the existing one I was working on, and voila! It works!

              So...you're saying it didn't work?

              I suggested it because when I started PP the other day, I also noticed a gray Search field.  But after a moment, the field became "active" and worked normally.  My thinking was that it got "stuck" when you started PP and didn't activate.

              I have seen this on windows too.

              Not all projects are affected.

              Cannot put my finger on this yet.
