Why Isn't Premier Linking ALL Missing Clips?
I'm trying to open existing projects after a new HD install.
ALL of my clip/content is on the same external drive they've always been on.
When I open a project, I get the "missing media" message window. So... I go and locate a clip manually, and EVEVERYTHING ELSE that was missing, is found and has a checkmark next to it.
Then I hit cancel to close the "find media" window and then my project loads AND ALL THE CLIPS ARE MISSING AND EVERYTHING IS OFFLINE/CAN'T BE FOUND.
WHY? I just found them all in the locate media pop up window, and they were found, and had checkmarks.
So then... I go into the timeline and click on a few missing clips. I RELINK them to media manually, BUT IT ONLY POPULATES THAT SPECIFIC CLIP I JUST MANUALLY LOCATED. Why is there NO automatic linking of all the other clips... when I have that option selected???
Do I really have to go in, by hand, and link clip after clip, each one, individually, hundreds of clips one after the other? That will take me a good ten hours or more.
This program waste so much of my time...smh
