Why isnt my gopro footage not all showing up in the frame?

I have some gopro footage that only shows the middle of the frame and not the outsides of it. It shows up normal in thumbnails bit not in the editing mode. Kinda new to this by the way. I can send examples

Right click on a Gopro file in the project panel and select 'new sequence from clip', this should give you the correct settings for your footage.
