WHY - “Relinking Media” Process repeated

Having to endure "Relinking Media" 3 minute process every time a project I opened - even though no media has moved. Running 25.5.0(Build 13) on Windows 11.  Media is stored on an EditShare media space with always the same allocated partition letter.  It's quite a pain and would appreciate some insight.
