Question

Why there is no option to CLICK ANYWHERE on the timeline and the playhead cursor to follow you?

Premiere is already on the 22th Version and this simple but essential feature is missing. In Vegas you can click ANYWHERE in the timeline and the playhead cursor follows you. Why do I have to click on the TOP of the timeline? What a waste of mouse movement and time. There should be an option for that. When you click anywhere on the timeline the cursor follows, if you click on a clip it will select the clip. Simple as that. I know the "move to cursor" shortcut, but this madness could be solved easily by implementing it to the LEFT mouse button that we already use. If you click on a dead space in the timeline it doesn't do anything!

perhaps you could script a pre-defined pixel window with autohotkey to do it for you.(requires a lil psuedo code but very simple)

edit(i see others have done similar)

You have to click on the top as this is the way it has been designed in PREMIERE and has been like this for many many moons. This is not Vegas.
