Why when I am keyframing something and I move the cursor to the end it jumps somewhere random

I dont understand the behaviour of Premiere here.
When I keyframe something and I move at the edge of the clip with the playhead,

it completely jumps over to a different part of the timeline (not even on the next clip)

and deselects the clip that I am working on. And I have to scroll back, select the clip over and over again and have to be really careful to work on the bounteries that I see.

Correct answer Cobra

Thanks "Selection Follows Playhead" is causing this behaviour but I want it on. I found an alternative way and hitting SHIFT+END to find the END of the clip I am editing.

But the weird thing with Premiere is that the top clip is confusing showing the WHOLE clip spreaded out in the editing area instead of showing the actual size of the active clip timeline and that makes it super confusing, they should fix this

Dont move your playhead all the way to the end as that is not the last frame of a clip but the first frame of the next.

To avoid this behavior, go to the hamburger menu of the Effect Controls and uncheck Pin to Clip.

Now you can make the editing area larger with the slider at the bottom.

You probably also need to turn off  Selection follows Playhead.

That is not a videoclip it is a still. Total duration of a still is 12 hours. Hence no in or outpoint will be visible in the ECP.
