Why would I not be able to export a sequence containing any of the new Film Impact effects?
I spent nearly two days trying to export an eight-minute YouTube video. I’m looking for help resolving this, since I have another upcoming project for a client that this will likely impact.
Issue
I am unable to export a sequence that contains any of the recently added Film Impact effects. After getting multiple GPU Render errors, or sometimes no error message at all, I did a deep dive and concluded these errors were caused by the Film Impact effects on the timeline. I eventually found error messages pointing to the “Text Animator,” “Cross Dissolve,” and “Burn Alpha.”
Oddly, after attempting a failed export, some of the error messages were seen baked into the sequence on the timeline (example below).
Message Examples

Specs
I am running the latest version of Premiere 26.0.2 (Build 2)
On a MacBook Pro Apple M2 Max with 96G of memory
1 TB of storage with more than half available
Troubleshooting
In an attempt to achieve a successful export, I tried the usual tactics, including clearing the cache, closing and restarting both Premiere and the computer, trying different codecs and settings, and exporting in Media Composer.
Only when I went through the timeline and removed all of the Film Impact transitions and effects was I successful.
Oddity
Before taking a vacation (roughly two weeks ago), I completed a two-video project for a client that included some of these effects and did not encounter any issues.
Any assistance in helping me figure this out would be appreciated!
