Question

Will I lose color accuracy downgrading 4K UHD to 1080p?

Thank you in advance for the information.

I am purchasing a new laptop for moderate video editing and found the Dell Inspiron 15 model 7577 running on the GTX 1060 with 6GB-vRAM.  It offers a FHD monitor with poor color and brightness ratings and a UHD 60hz monitor with excellent aRGB ratings.   I'd really rather not use a 4K display on a 15.7" monitor, and I'd like to use the gpu for processing power, so I'm thinking that to gain the color trueness needed I can go with the UHD monitor and downsize the resolution of the monitor to 1080p.    Yes? No?

I am concerned that I will lose color capabilities if I downsize.  I do NOT need "exact" color- my video editing work is a hobby at this point, but I do NOT want a "poor" quality monitor with poor color ratings.

Last concern would be the occasional speed ramping I do at up to 240 FPS - will the 60hz monitor be a problem?

Thank you for the information!
