Hi all,

I noticed that the Premiere Pro beta recently released Media Intelligence and the New Search Panel. These features seem incredibly useful, and I’m curious if there are any plans to expose them to the API for integration with third-party tools and custom workflows.

Has there been any official mention or roadmap for making these features available via the API? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

For extensions that already get/set XMP metadata for projectItems, that metadata is already available in PPro's search results.

Any new APIs around Media Intelligence and Search, will need to wait until after PPro has approached 1:1 parity, between what was previously possible via CEP+ExtendScript, and what's possible via PPro's UXP extensibility. We're working on it; no completion date available.
