Win7 Premiere 12 - Is loaded LUT and Lumetri Setting included when Exporting .CUBE?

Hi,

Win7 Premiere 12.

I have been using Lumetri on general videos recoded with lower resolution in mpg.

Are there LUTs the community have used or made to improve general recoded vids.

I have read extensivly about the purpose and use of LUTs.

No need to go over the reasons why it won't work etc.

I am using SL CLEAN KODAK C HDR.itx

What are you using for such natural LUTs?

Is loaded LUT and Lumetri Setting included when Exporting .CUBE?

Can I use the new LUT to transfer my Lumetri LUT+Settings onto another video.

Don't need Lumetri settings to change as were when loading new LUT, just the effects.

Thanks for visiting

SL CLEAN KODAK C HDR.itx is packaged with program.

After basic auto correction and curves the LUT changed footage to my liking.

Just a happy coincidence with a single LUT.

I can edit to ear and sight naturally, which is why I normally work with music production.

It's the learn to fish or always having to buy a fish thing. I can "roll my own" looks pretty fast any more, most anything I'm interested in doing. Keeping track of the ton of LUTs that some do would drive me nuts. And anyway, by the time they've sorted through and figured out which they want to use of the 351 they've got, I've created a new look for the project.

And gone home.

But we all work differently ... I don't know any two editors or colorists who work just like any other. I do think if you don't learn how to "see" the image that you're always starting from a few steps further back though.

Most of the Lumetri controls will be applied to any LUT you export from Premiere.

You can then apply that LUT to other sequences using the Basic or Creative tabs ... here's the location to park your LUTs on the computer so Premiere sees them and accesses them correctly in the dropdown lists..

Last ... using a LUT means you have the previous look applied as was.

If you want to be able to modify the look, don't export a LUT, save a preset of the Lumetri effect or stack of effects and apply the preset to other clips. Then you can modify to your heart's content.

Hi,

Is there any logical reason the Kodak LUT worked for my liking on recoded videos?

Gave it brighter colours without looking unnatural or losing quality.

Seems hard to create the same look just with settings.

And the LUT can be used to transfered settings between programs.

Point taken about not exporting LUT if you want to make changes.

Very handy and powerful tool.
