Windows describes Premiere Pro as "Unknown Application"
I want to set it up so that certain video files always open Premiere Pro, including MP4 and MOV files. Unfortunately, whenever I try to select premiere pro as the default application, the system calls it “unknown application” and doesn’t work. I have to open Premiere Pro, start a project, and THEN add the file, which is a couple more steps than I really want to deal with when I’m simply organizing my thoughts for a project with videos I have on hand.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is it truly an Adobe issue, or should I be nagging Microsoft about it? I don’t understand why this occurs with only Premiere Pro as well because I have no problems with Photoshop, illustrator, or Lightroom. Just Premiere Pro.
Thank you for any help anyone can provide and please let me know if I can elaborate if needed.
