Wndows 10 build 19041.21 fails to allow updates of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder to 14.0.1

Hi Folks....
Well, just spent hours trying myself and then having Adobe tech support do a totally clean install of Premiere Pro 14.0

The headache started when I tried updating 14.0 to 14.0.1

On my Windows 10 build 19041.21 (Asus x299 mobo), the install would hang at 44%

Media Encoder 14.0.1 would hang at 37%

No matter what we tried = with and without Windows Defender on, with and without the Asus RT-AX88 router's firewall enable, everything.
Same problem with Media Encoder.
So....am forced to work Premiere Pro 14.0...and see on my Creative Cloud the offer to "Install" (not just update) Premiere Pro and an offer to update Media Encoder 14.0

Any ideas on how to fix....because I fear this may be just the start of a conflict between CC and Win 10's newest version.

Thanks!

John

Are you on an Insider build of Windows 10 or any other non-consumer version? I am not and the latest build seems to be 18363.592.

What happens if you re-boot the computer and try again?

Hi Avedahl....

I was on with Adobe tech support for 4 hours yesterday...and nothing was resolved.  Computer was shared with tech support, etc.  We went through everything (although most was duplicated what I myself had tried for hours before reaching out.

My Win 10 version is 2004

To start with i would check and see if the CC app is the latest one. The latest version seems to be 5.0.1.381 and can be found here: Download the Creative Cloud desktop app

Did you try to log out from the Creative Cloud app and then restart the computer and when it is up and running log in to the Creative Cloud app and try again? Sometimes odd issues like this can magically be resolved by logging out and then back in again.

Though you are on a non-supported version of Windows 10 i doubt that it should be the problem since you once managed to install Premiere Pro 14.0 and Media Encoder 14.0.
