Work flow; order of edits

I am a beginner and need to do these things in the proper order. I would appreciate a few tips:

Import media (2 cameras and a few short B-roll clips). Camera 1 has about 10 clips and camera 2 has 2.

Synchronization - Camera 1 to Camera 2

    - Audio Sync - Camera 2 has continuous, but bad quality audio, and Camera 1 has more gaps. I must use the bad quality ones in these gaps)

    - Video Sync - (I think I have to do this manually - I already have done so in a test project)

Cut out mistakes

Video Transitions for the mistakes which cause jump cuts.

Make footage the same size (1 is 1080 x 1920 and the other is 720 x 1280)

Color correction

Title page

Rolling credits

Create multi-camera sequence and select which scenes to see.

Stabilize footage

Thank you.

Hey DuaneCWilson!

Let's talk through this. I wonder if other people will have different opinions. This is how I would do it:

  1. Import your footage using the media browser panel in Premiere. If you can't find it, go to Windows>Media Browser. Create two bins for each camera and import the footage from each camera into its respective folder.
  2. Create a sequence by right-clicking a piece of footage that is 720x1280 and selecting "Create new sequence from clip." We will scale down your 1080 footage to this size because when you try to size 720 up to 1080, it gets fuzzy. Put all your footage with camera 1 on V1 and camera 2 on V2.
  3. You can scale the footage down after step 2 or after step 4. I would probably do it here to make it less confusing when you're trying to sync. You can scale down footage by selecting the clip on the timeline and going to the "Effect Controls" panel. If you're having a hard time finding it, go to Window>Effect Controls. You'll see an option under the "Transform" section to adjust "Scale."
  4. Sync your footage! I would do audio first because it's easier to match up and I don't see how the video could be out of sync if the audio is synced correctly.
  5. Cut out mistakes.
  6. Make your sequence a multicam sequence: Multi camera using existing sequence already synced with plural eyes and edit as you need to!
  7. Add transitions when you've got your cut done.
  8. Stabilize whatever clips need it. Try not to stabilize every single clip if you can avoid it, or your export time will increase.
  9. Color correction
  10. Title page! You can use the Essential Graphics Panel in Premiere or take it over to After Effects!
  11. Rolling credits! I would make them in After Effects and then take them to Premiere, but here's one way to do it in Premiere:
Create END CREDITS in Premiere Pro 2018 - YouTube

Please feel free to reach out if you encounter a road block with any of these steps! We're happy to help. Here are all our support options: Contact Customer Care

Best of luck! You got this.
