Working on audio in timeline wave form is incorrect

Premiere Pro 23.6 Windows 10

Zooming in on a wave form in the timeline - what you hear is not what you see. Frustrating.
Seems to work when you are not zoomed in.
Also if you reverse the speed of a clip the wave display sould also reverse - it does not. It does audibly but not visually.
