Working with multiple sequences in Adobe Premier Pro CC 2018?

I am new to Premier Pro cc and am still in the "trial" stage.  Only have a few days left to decide if I want to purchase.   I'm assuming if I'm using a mix of clips as still shots from a DSLR, video from a Go Pro and video from an iPhone that I need more than one sequence.  Is that correct?  But I'm totally stuck on this issue.  When I add a new sequence to an existing project, everything else on the timeline vanishes.  I can't figure out why or where it went.  So far I  haven't found anything in any of the video tutorials or other materials that helps with this issue.

No ... sequences are bits of a story, essentially. So they typically have varying types of media involved that are needed or useful to show & tell the story.

As to your problem with adding a sequence ... all sequences live in the Project panel unless you move them to a bin inside the Project panel. But you can only edit one sequence at a time. You can have multiple sequences as tabs in the Timeline panel though only one will show at a time. Or you can have multiple timeline panels open with a sequence showing in each, what is often referred to as "pancake editing".

No, that is not necessary if you want to export in the same file.  You can put all media in the same sequence, but there will be sacrifices to be made.  You may be either upscaling or downscaling footage and losing quality, how much depending upon the amount of scaling.

Mixing frame rates may also create problems, depending upon the edit.

Thanks, Bob.  What is the best way to use both still shots from a DSLR and videos from a Go Pro in the same movie?

What is the pixel size of the stills?

What are the properties of the GoPro footage?

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot the properties of your media in tree view:
