Wrong sequence timecode - EDL split delay

Question

Hi! My EDL is giving sequence timecode in and outs that don't correspond to my timeline. It will say 03;00, for example, but if I go to 03;00, the clip isn't there.

All the offending clips are marked split delay, and when I unlink audio and video, the issue resolves.

I assume split delay means that audio and video from the same source are staggered or something, but would love more intel on what this means and why the timecode isn't what's in the timeline! Thank you!

Thank you, Kevin! I simplified the sequence, but the issue remained.

So I tried unlinking everything, and that solved it. (I hope that doesn't introduce any other issues...but from a spot check, it seems like it's accurately reading the ins and outs of video and audio assets.)

Hi temes,Thanks for your post. Sounds frustrating. What you might be seeing is a result of including audio transitions. What you might try is a video only EDL and that should carry the audio along with the TC being more constant. These audio anomalies don't need to be introduced to the EDL. Try that.
