XDCAM-EX & M1 Chips - Will this be supported in future updates?

Hello,

I know current builds of Premiere do not support the XDCAM-EX codec on M1 machines. I am finding conflicting language from Adobe and am looking for clarity:

Is this codec being dropped completely or is a solution in the works? 

This is a pretty devestating blow for us, we still use the codec and a huge chunk of our catalog is shot on SxS cards. If the codec is being dropped completly, I need to start thinking of alterantives ASAP.
