Anyway... as always hell... so why not another one? It's always as one of the things that you really want to throw your computer against the wall as always. Anyway... i got an xml from the colorist. As you can see, i'm not a computer genius. But i can follow directions and tutorials. The thing is all the youtube tutorials just compy each other out and never really answer/explain what you need. I got the xml from the guy; there are many clips in the project... more than 3000. It's a huge project. I cannot open it on my end. It links part of it, but i cannot even see it in the project window or whatever you call it where the clips stay. So, is there anything i can do to open and link the clips? As i said, it's impossible to go one by one. And it links half of the project, but the other half, it doesn't link nor find the clips. Anyway... i believe the xml is in premiere, but he also sent an xml in resolve? Is that even possible? Sorry, i'm don't know much about computers. Just a stupid guy trying to finalze a stupid movie. Thanks in advance.

XML workflows are ... not easy. Especially as the 'format' of the XML is ancient by today's standards. So many of the colorists I know either want an EDL, or both. And at any rate, they always want that H.264 framesize/framerate accurate video file to put on V2 or V3, and use to check frame accuracy for all clips in/out, sizing, any speed changes, everything like that.

Because there are always issues. And a 3,000 shot sequence ... is a biggie. That's something many colorists would assume up to a day or so for the conform alone. IF the editor supplying the project to them follows all their guidelines for setting the project in whatever NLE it comes from, that is.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
