XML Multicam File to Multicam Sequence

Hello,

I have a multicam XML file (six cameras, one audio recorder) generated from Tentacle Sync Studio, everything is already synced.

What would be the best way to open it in Premiere Pro as a multicam sequence, displaying the six cameras in a multiview window, so I can edit like in "switcher mode"?

Also, is there a way to display the original TC on each camera view?

Appreciate the help, thanks!

1. Import the XML
Import the XML into Premiere Pro. This imports both the synced sequence and all related media.

2. Copy clips from the sync sequence

  • Open the synced sequence in the Timeline.
  • Select all clips and copy them.

3. Create a multi-camera source sequence

  • Select all camera clips in the Project panel.
  • Choose Clip > Create Multi-Camera Source Sequence.
  • For Synchronize Point, choose In Points.
  • For Audio Sequence Settings, choose All Cameras.

This creates a multi-camera source sequence that matches your media.

4. Replace the clips in the multi-camera sequence

  • In the Project panel, right-click the multi-camera source sequence and choose Open in Timeline.
  • Delete all clips from the Timeline.
  • Paste the clips copied from the sync sequence.
