Has anyone ever heard of an XML Slate, or know how to create one?

I've never created one, so don't know if this is helpful, but:

When you export from Premiere, in the Export Pane, if you click on Metadata:

You can add a metadata sidecar to the video file that contains slate info:

But am not sure what the specifics are for creating a file that is viable for your client.

There also is AD-Id, which Adobe supports:

XMP standards | Adobe Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP)

Which for a fee generates a file that contains a unique slate + code for your production.

I vaguely remember working with this once in FCP-7 and there was a plug-in that could read the file and auto create the slate graphic.

Best plan is to check with your client and get clarity on exactly what they are looking for you to provide.

There was a movie where some space ship went into a black hole and when they got close everything slowed down cause they were approaching the speed of light ( video and stuff was being sent back to earth via lightspeed so producers could make movie ). When the spaceship full of people got the point of not moving, and then started going BACKWARDS ( into the past ) I think the crew people used an XML slate ( basically what's called an " END SLATE" )…. so the movie could be made.
