Zoom animation won't work

I have been trying to make my Image zoom from small to big very simple, I import the image, put it on the timeline, follow the steps such as changing the scale, and position and then the end key frame to a different size, when I go to play it nothing happens. So annoying I've looked at the tutorials and still nothing. please help. thanks.
