Question

Zooming (and rotating) an image – while keeping the title stable on the screen

I am making carousels with images of people and their names beside their faces as a title graphic.

When I zoom in on their face, the title graphic travels on-screen.

So, I nest the image and title. When I zoom in, the title stays in the same relation to the image – but gets larger. If the image is rotated, obviously, the nested title rotates as well.

Is there a recognised solution – there must be, I feel.

I would do the effects you need first on the face of the subject then when at final resting place gradually dissolve in their name along side the face . Then hold it for a couple of seconds for viewer to see who they are and their name.
put title on track above image and use motion effect settings to get title positioned in the right place

Could you do it without the nest? Keep the caption and footage separate.

Yes, but then the title travels across the screen. Not too obtrusive in small zooms but in larger ones . . .
