24.1.0 beta sticky docking windows seem flakey and prefs issues

I dont think its just me or my system - Studio Ultra - three 4k monitors - i just installed this beta  - didnt remember any of my preferences - no saved windwo set ups no keyboard short cuts - in rebuilding my windowing - it seemed many of them were not context aware to know they were in 'docking' mode.
