ability to move more easily an element inside the timeline

Hello,

For the new version of Premiere Pro Beta, I have a new feature request.

Actually, to move an element and put it between two elements in the timeline,  I am obliged to select an element and make "Control key", and move my element, then put it between two elements.

I would like an easy way to do this, like in Premiere Rush, where if I move an element between two elements, it insert it automatically between these two elements.

I would vote against it: might work in Rush or Elements.

Guarantee a mess in Premiere Pro.

You can also use the sortcut for insert (,)

@Ann Bens

You said "You can also use the sortcut for insert (,)".

My goal is to move an element from the timeline to another place inside the timeline and insert it between two elements. How to do this with the "insert (,)" you are talking about ?

Actually I use the "Control" key hold + move the element + release "Control" key in order the moved element insert between two elements. But it is easy to make a mistake and have the moved element  going over one of the two elements. So for me Adobe Rush is very easy : it works all the time to insert one element between two other elements by pushing automatically the two elements in order to insert.

Sorry forget about insert.

Try ctrl+alt when moving to a new place.

Turn on snap to get the reference black line and then hold down ctrl+alt.

FYI:

There's an area devoted to "official" feature request here.
