Add Lumetri to the default effect controls Like Motion and Opacity

Colour correction/grading is a part of almost every video editing project. I think Lumetri as a necessary colour tool should always be included in any clip loaded onto the timeline. It may not be used but it is super helpful when it is already pre-loaded. The same applies to defaults like Motion or Opacity. They are not always needed but because of how necessary they are, it is very handy to have them already loaded.

Use either the built-in Color workspace, or custom workspaces. You can call them with keyboard shorts. I have nine custom spaces for my own work.

General thoughts ... with some mapping specified ...

And YES!!!!!! ... a control surface speeds color work immensely. Here's the links to a couple of my blog posts a while back on using and especially mapping the Basic and Creative tab controls for best efficiency.

My full Elements panel does everything in Premiere, from audio track mixing levels/paning through sizing/positioning/rotating any screen element of any image to mouse emulation so you don't need to leave the panel.

I hardly ever use Lumetri in the ECP unless I need to keyframe. Most of the time I twirl it up.

I mainly use the Lumetri panel.

It's already good as @Shebbe mentions:

'Regarding your particular desire, when using the dedicated Lumetri Color window/panel, as soon as you change a parameter on it, it will load Lumetri as an effect automatically on the selected clip so it's already semi there.'

I think Adobe nailed that part. With the Lumetri Color panel, just add any adjustment and Lumetri is added to the clip, you don't have to add it to the clip beforehand, like other effects.

I recently acquired a Tangent Ripple and got it to work with Premier.  If I select a clip then spin a dial for any aspect of grading, it automatically adds the Lumetri effect.  I like that.

For those without that convenience, perhaps adding a Lumetri option to the right-click context menu of the effects flag would speed things up.

You can always click "Add Effects..." but that's a lot of clicking to do that.

Not a fan of that idea. Lumetri is a large effect and most certainly not always used in a project, even if it is, it's not neccessarily applied on a per clip basis. If this is the default it would only make the project incredibliy heavy/slow to load and even render if they coded it in a way that it already takes up resources if no operations are altered.

In the time where we still graded our projects with Lumetri inside Premiere, we used Adjustment Layers rather than clips themselves for increased flexibility and readability.

If anything, other much more edit related effects should imo get more priority in that regard. Things like cropping for example. Or horizontal/vertical flips.

Regarding your particular desire, when using the dedicated Lumetri Color window/panel, as soon as you change a parameter on it, it will load Lumetri as an effect automatically on the selected clip so it's already semi there.
