AI Generate Speech Using Generative Extend Tool?

Can the Generative Extend tool be used to generate speech on words that are clipped? For example, I'm editing a podcast promo and there are two speakers. The second speaker steps on the last word word in the promo and I need to clean that up. If I cut out where the second speaker comes in, I'm clipping the end of the last work. I need a way to make the last word sound clean and not clipped. Can Genrative AI do this? I tried using it, but I just got some weird noises. See attached clips for reference.
