audio only disappears SUDDENLY ???

I'm just listening to a soundtrack, take a break, wake from

monitor-only sleep, and then get this. Now what?
regular clips play. So tired of stuff that does not work.

I'm using the beta cuz the regular has even more function flaws.

SUDDENLY this happens again, listen to one thing, fine, next thing, ERROR.

Now the next track does play...
Return to the previous track, still does not play.

Next track does play.
