Why are there so many Betas recently?

For the Video and Audio teams, our goal is that the Beta program releases every day. The reason for this is that it allows us to quickly address issues and create a tighter, quicker feedback loop. You don't have to update every day if you're happy where you're at.

Each day's release is a new "build" of a given version, and the idea is that each daily build will have any of the fixes, changes, and new features that have been added since the previous day's build.

Before a build goes out to public Beta it runs through a series of automation tests to try and make sure nothing basic has a problem. If something does, the automation system will prevent the daily build from going out. So you may see an occasional day skipped here or there.

The engineers tend to release a new beta any time they've either fixed a few bugs or extended some capability. So at times, they can release several fairly close to each other as different teams have things ready to test out.
