Can't mark in / out points of merged clips

Question

I'm working on Premiere Pro Beta 15.1.0 Build 24 but the bug i'm reporting has also been affecting me on all Premiere Pro 14 (public release) projects I've worked.

Every time I sync / merge a video and audio clip, I can't mark in and out points on the newly created clip until I quit and relaunch Premiere Pro.

My specs:

MacPro 3.7 Quad-Core Intel XeonE5

MacOS Catalina, 10.15.7

20GB RAM

I have had the exact same issue and this is over two years since this bug was reported.

Every time I merge a video and audio clip, I am no longer able to "Mark In" via the Source panel. I can "Mark Out", but "Mark In" will not work until I reopen my project.

I'm amazed this bug has been allowed to exist for this long.
