Can't preview sound effects in project panel preview area

I have an issue with the most recent beta builds. I like to preview my sound effects in the project panel before I bring them into the Source Monitor or timeline. I can preview them pressing Spacebar in the public release but the ability seems gone in the beta. I recorded a quick demo of what is happening.
