Captions: italics for single words

I work in foreign language translation, where we need to italicise single words (ie, the foreign word will be put into italics). We have a team of people all using Premiere for this. My team has had lots of problems:

- Premiere will randomly lose the italics when importing or exporting an SRT

- Whenever I create or load a Text Style in Essential Graphics, I will lose all of the italics. 

I'm happy to help Adobe solve this by testing it with the team - but it really needs to be solved as it means it's sometimes unworkable for professional use.
