DISCUSS: Premiere Pro Fast Exit

Premiere Pro has changed the way our application termination is handled. This means that when you exit the app, shutdown or app termination is faster than ever!

We’re doing this to improve the experience for all our users.

As soon as you quit Premiere Pro (either through ‘x’ in the user interface, 'File' then 'Quit', or shortcut), the app will shut down quickly – no more waiting around.

There should be no impact to project data.

I rather see a fast (auto) save then a fast exit.

Have definitely noticed that it shuts down faster since it was introduced. I wonder if we will ever get a version of autosave that doesn't interrupt the user when inside the app or moving that save dialogue to the progress panel

Might be shutting down faster but still needs the same time to save the project first.

Hey Ann! Fast Exit includes an Auto Save so project should be intact. Let us know if you see anything different - Eric

Hi Eric, I know but what is the point of having a fast exit and still having to wait for a slow auto save.
