PR 22.1.1 build 33

Why does adjusting one line of text affect the other, and not the one I want to adjust???

1. With Ess Gx, create a block of text that you want to be normal weight for the body of the graphic.

2. Click elsewhere in the frame with the type tool and create a 2nd line of text to be the title.

3. The two lines of text show up in the effects control panel.

4. Click on the 2nd line of type that was created in the Effects panel or highlight the text on the screen.

5. Change the weight of the font from regular to bold.

RESULT:

The FIRST line of text that was entered changes to bold, not the one that was selected. There seems to be no way to make the 2nd line of text go bold

EXPECTED RESULT:

The selected line of text goes bold.

WORKAROUND:

Create separate Essential Graphics clips for both the title and the text.

It is behaving normally (I think) for me; also 22.1.1 Build 33; Win10.

In the Essential Graphics Panel, the controls adjust whatever layer is selected, there, or in the Program Monitor.

In the Effect Controls panel (what you show in your screenshot), the layer selected there (highlighted) is changed by changing the values in the EGP.

In the Effect panel, if you expand a layer that is not selected (in your screenshot Matthew is selected; dogs is expanded), the effect controls that are expanded will affect that layer. The controls in the EGP affect the SELECTED layer, not the expanded layer.
