Growing frustrated at not being able to select timeline clips

The changes to clips on the timeline are frustrating as hell. The new FX box means that it's virtually impossible to select small clips without zooming in. I don't understand the need for the FX box as most users will have the Effects Controls easily to hand in their workspace anyway and if supposedly making it easier to get to the ECs makes it virtually impossible to select short clips, this is just one step forward and two steps back. Please supply a fix for this infuriating problem that is ruining my workflow.

Totally agree, the FX Badge is really annoying, yes, you can "turn it off" but now you don't know if a clip have a FX in it. Actually the badge itself it's not as helpful as in previous version.

I think it's the only frustrating thing in the beta, for me.

This is beta only for now: You hover over the FX badge.

Find it not helpful at all, miss the colors.

The lack of color coding on the FX badge is a big miss to me. It is a huge time saver to clearly know what type of effects might be on a clip. Plus, with the track height at it's smallest, you can't have both fx badge and waveform.
