Has version "2026" killed the ability to downgrade a project to a previous version?
We've all been there - needing to open a .prproj in an older version of PPro, using the "rename it to .zip, extract it, edit the version name, etc" method or https://www.joshcluderay.com/downgrade-premiere-project-converter/ . When I tried to do this today (because the latest PPro beta is completely broken), it didn't work - ther resulting file (from Josh's automated method) didn't open in PPro 2025 (got the "it's too new" message) and when I did it manually, it just crashed PPro 2025 upon open.
So Adobe - have you killed off this essential, much valued workaround? Are you planning to fix it with something akin to AE's "save as previous version" command (please)?
