how can I change an AI video to the proper size to use the new Generative Extend?

hello everyone. I am inspired to try out the new Generative Extend in Premiere.  when using Runway generated AI videos it's telling me that videos have to be 1980x1020, and changing the sequence isn't actually changing the clips. What can I do to change the clip itself?

Export it as 1920x1080 then use the exported clip to generate extension

    That is the logical solution.  Is there any word on whether GenAI will someday apply to other sizes...and if so when?
