LONG lag with space bar

I updated to the PPrePro Beta 22 build 113.. and it immediately had a LONG Lag when hitting the play button in the program .. either on the timeline or program window or either hitting the space bar or the play button.. it takes.. over 5 to 7 seconds to play... NO JOKE... what happened.. it was fine before the recent update.. 

it is now extremely frustrting to work on..
