Make "Preview Area" a project setting, or at least project 'sticky'

Feature request (is this the proper forum for this?)

Make "Preview Area" a project setting, or at least project 'sticky'. Even a toggle button would be quicker than a context menu.

I always use Preview Area in source bins, expecially on long format (to view usage).

It is cumbersome to have to turn it on for each bin opened.

Current workaround is to create a custom metadata display that uses 'usage' columns.

As always, thanks for continuous improvememt!

Strange, I have the "Preview Area" turned on in all the bins of my projects, nothing changed recently for me.
Also, tried to create a new project in the latest Beta, and it's the same: Preview Area is always turned on by default.

Have you got Import workspaces from projects checked?

It used to be default on. Adobe changed that recently.

I don't use icon view, always list view.

Find it annoying, too, to have to turn them on for each new project.

Make it available in the Preferences.
