Premiere Beta Timeline Editing Bug

If I ripple edit a section out of my sequence, then click in the time ruler to return to just before the edit, the cursor moves out to the end of my sequence somewhere. Happens three times in the attached screen recording.

[Edit: this is related to having an active search term in the text panel]

I cannot replicate. My playhead moves to the edit point if I ripple delete. If I click before that, it goes where I click.

From your video, I can't tell how you are editing. Are you using i and o to set in/out? How are you deleting the marked section? How are you ripple deleting?

Yes, using keyboard shortcuts to set ins and outs and then shift delete (fcp shortcuts) to ripple.

I think I partially figured it out, at least why it's going to that particulaar spot. If I have a search term still in the bar on the text edit panel, the cursor moves to the point in the timeline where that word appears next. So, as I click in the timeline, somehow it is cued to go to the next appearance of the search term.

Sam,

You got it! Good detective work. I can replicate this, except in one sequence it would not move and in another, it always worked.
