Premiere Pro (Beta) 24.0 stuck in loading the project

Last night I updated my Premiere Pro Beta to v. 24.0. Everything worked fine for about one hour and after that when I was about to start exporting my project - which I've worked for months - the whole software crashed. After that I've tried to open the project but it only loads it to 69% and then nothing happens. I've tried to open different autosave files and importing the project to a different project as well but same thing. I guess the recent update has something to do with it and might have a bug.

Correct answer rocktografia

I hear you about the Beta.

Only this one project is the problem. That gets tricky to troubleshoot.

What is the file size of the .prproj file that is the problem?

> import ... to one of those old projects

If that is literally what you tried, create a new project and import to that.

Also, when you try to import the bad project, select only one sequence to  import and see if that will work....

Case closed. Got the help from adobe via email and they told me that update back then somehow had a bug and "broke" the project. Now when I finally had the most recent update (24.0.0.44), everything works fine and I got the project exported as the bug was fixed. Thanks ya'll!

@rocktografia,

What Build are you using? I am on 24.0,0 Build 25. I see that Build 29 was available yesterday.

Are you able to open PR? Can you create a new project? Can you reopen this new project?

I do not recommend using the Beta version for deadline-sensitive work, but many users use it successfully. The Beta version often works very well. But there are also regular bugs, some of which make the version unusable until the next build, or less commonly, more than one build.

Note that the newest Beta (24.0.0) is a new project version (42). PR 23 was version 41. You cannot open a current Beta project in the release version unless you do something to convert it.

You can only install the latest version of the Beta, and cannot roll back to a previous version. In the release versions, even though it is easier to roll back, I create a clone of my system drive so I can roll back everything.

It's 24.0.0.30.

I've tried to open other projects and those however will open okay and end up editible. If I try to import this project I've been working for long to one of those old projects, same thing: loads up to 69% and stays there until touched the screen and it crashes.

I've been using the Beta version for quite a long time for now and there have never been a problem with it. I know it's kinda risk but if it have proven itself to be good for those as well, there shouldn't be a problem. It has crashed before, yeah, but it has always opened any other project perfectly after crashing so this is the first time there's something really wrong in it.
