Premiere Pro Beta (M1) freezing when switching to lumetri

On a 2020 M1 MBP w/ 16gb ram. When switching to the color workspace Premiere will freeze 2/3 times. Timeline is typicaly 1080p with mix of 1080 and 4k footage. There is no consistency in the footage bit depth or resolution when it freezes.
