I have a Dell 8940, with an i9 processor, and an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU.  Would going to a newer Nvidia GPU improve speed? The GPU i am looking at is the RTX 4070

Hi michaeld6372

If your workflows are GPU bottlenecked then a newer/higher end GPU may improve playback/rendering speeds. This is more likely to be the case if your sequences are high resolution and/or GPU effect heavy.

You can monitor GPU usage while using the application by opening Task Manager, navigating to the "Performance" tab, and selecting the GPU graph. If the usage is consistently above ~80%, then your current GPU might be a limiting factor in your playback/rendering performance.
