Sapphire Plug-In crashes Premiere when it tries to open

I have Sapphire installed on After Effects and Premiere Pro. It's always worked fine on After Effects but I have always had to uninstall the whole plug in everytime I wanted to use Premiere Pro as it crashes everytime it opens.

I wondered if anyone has experienced this before or has a fix?

If not I'd like to figure out how to uninstall it from Premiere but not After Effects. It's such a pain to have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the whole thing.

Thanks

But what about for After Effects? I bought borisfx sapphire and used older versions since my PC is bad and it worked completely fine till a week ago. It makes my AE crash when applying a sapphire plugin effect. I've usef many versions of AE and Sapphire (including pirated to test) and no help. People say it's because I have BCC on my device as well? I need help. Is there a corrupt sapphire file?

Step by step:

Booted up my PC

Opened AE

Loads in

Applied BCC effect, works

Applying Sapphire effect, instant crash. Help out.

Yes, Pr 24.1 + Sapphire 2024.0

I have the same problem. Premier 22.3, tried to put 22.2, does not help. It is with sapphire that such a problem occurs. How did you solve the problem?

>I have the same problem.

Specifically, what problem do you see? Does PPro crash every time you launch, if the Sapphire plug-ins are installed?

yes, every time (I'm answering you from another account just in case), when I start the prime minister, it crashes and crumbles. when sapphire is not installed then prime works fine. works fine with sapphire

We work closely with BorisFX, but haven't heard of any bugs as broad as what you've described.

If you can provide step-by-step instructions on how to reliably reproduce the crash you've described, we'd be happy to investigate further (and work with BorisFX, as necessary).

Thank you! I will do that now.

You don't happen to know how I can disable it (just from Premiere not AE)

Typically, plug-ins that work in both AE and PPro are installed into a plug-in directory, shared by both apps.

After Effects also has its own plug-in directories, not loaded by PPro.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects [version]\Support Files\Plug-ins

/Applications/Adobe After Effects [version]/Plug-ins/
