Hi, i have final version of Premiere Pro installed in my Laptop, it is 15.4.1.

But i see in the forum of beta, the premiere pro beta version is 22.1 and amazing new thing there.

Why the version of this beta is not 16.0.0 or 15.5 ?

Correct answer R Neil Haugen

Does it mean that there will be no Premiere Pro 16?

The next release version will be 22.

To unify the major version numbers for all the DVA apps.

When working with Pr and Ae if something things dont work first thing that is mentioned: make sure they are of the same version:

As of now PR 15.4.1 - Ae 18.4.1 Hmmmmmm, Rather confusing.

FINALLY! So hopefuly for the next major updates, the non-beta version of Premiere Pro gets renamed to 22. I agree that having unified names across all programs makes things much more user friendly.

Yes, the next version of all three ... well, four really ... will be 22.x. Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Audition, MediaEncoder.

They're finally doing something most of us users have been pushing for ... for ages.

You have to have concurrent versions of Premiere Pro, MediaEncoder, AfterEffects, and Audition, right? Because that's the only way 'sends' from one app to another and back work.

But if one is 14.x, another 17.x, and the third 11.x ... um, how do you tell?

So they are 'unifiying' the version numbers for Pr, Me, Ae, and Au to the same number. And decided they might as well really simplify by using the 'year' version also.

Ergo ... ALL of the apps will have the same 22.x numbering for the next version cycle.

Finally!
